has approved the request presented by the university,
can the inviting institution assume that the Specialist’s

Who is responsible for
informing the Specialist that he/she should register
to be evaluated by the Council for the International
Exchange of Scholars (CIES)?
The institution that requested the Specialist should
inform the Specialist that he/she should contact
the CIES in order to register.
What does the Fulbright
Commission’s health insurance plan cover?
It covers any sickness or accident that does not
result from a pre-existing illness.
What is the time period
covered by the health insurance plan?
It begins when you start travel and includes the
flight to and from Argentina and the stay in Argentina.
If you leave the country, you will not be covered.
Does the Fulbright Commission’s
health insurance cover my dependents?
No.
Can I buy the Fulbright
Commission’s health insurance for my dependents?
Yes.
Can I pay an additional
amount so that I am covered by the Fulbright Commission’s
insurance if I decide to stay in Argentina after
my grant has expired?
No.
